The top US-based crypto exchange by volume is listing a new artificial intelligence (AI) altcoin.
According to Coinbase via their social media platform X account Coinbase Assets, new crypto project Karrat (KARRAT) will be listed on the platform as an “experimental asset.”
“Karrat (KARRAT) is now live on coinbase.com & in the Coinbase iOS & Android apps with the Experimental label. Coinbase customers can log in to buy, sell, convert, send, receive or store these assets.”
According to Coinbase, the exchange adds the experimental asset label “to certain tradable assets that are either new to our platform or have relatively low trading volume compared to our broader crypto marketplace.”
Karrat certainly falls under low trading volume. The altcoin is worth $0.848 at time of writing, down 6.4% since the announcement.
According to a press release from Chainwire, the Karrat protocol, created by the Karrat Foundation, is an AI-focused altcoin project seeking to bring Web3 technology to entertainment, gaming and AI. KARRAT acts as the protocol’s governance token.
A game called “My Pet Hooligan” is the first title to launch on the protocol. The game allows players to play as an in-game non-fungible token (NFT), and holders of My Pet Hooligan NFTs are eligible for an upcoming KARRAT airdrop.
