A key Shiba Inu (SHIB) developer is hinting that the ecosystem’s new layer-2 project is nearly finished and ready for launch.
Pseudonymous developer Shytoshi Kusama tells his 896,000 Twitter followers that the team is listening to a song on repeat while they add the finishing touches to Shibarium, the protocol’s highly-anticipated project.
Many prominent SHIB influencers are also debating the meaning of a tweet made by Shytoshi that has since been deleted. The tweet was sent on March 1 and said “confirming to the maker…,” prompting many to speculate on its meaning.
In February, it was unveiled that Shibarium would be soon launching its beta mode sometime this week, though no specific date or time was given.
At the time, the developers of the project announced that those who plan to utilize Shibarium must buy Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) to operate it and confirmed that the project is designed to work similarly to other layer-2 scaling solutions such as Polygon (MATIC).
Earlier, it was found that users are flocking to the “Join Shibarium” portal that launched on Sunday, signaling that interest in the upcoming metaverse is rife. The portal was an invitation to anyone who wants to become a node validator, build on Web3, or bring their business over to the SHIB ecosystem.
SHIB is trading for $0.000011 at time of writing, a 4.1% decrease during the last 24 hours.
