Last year, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed that his company has partnered with 10 governments to develop their respective Central Bank Digital Currencies.

Working with the central banks of countries like Colombia, Georgia, Montenegro, and Palau could speed up the adoption of digital currencies globally.

The news can only be good for Ripple’s own $XRP token. It plays a critical role in Ripple’s payments network as it standardizes bank transactions. If a bank in Georgia wants to send funds to Colombia, for example, it can do so using $XRP, eliminating conversion fees and other costs.

As Ripple partners with more companies, this move would definitely help push up $XRP’s value in the foreseeable future.

The token is currently trading at around $2.45, but some investors have speculated that it could soar well beyond that in the near future. Ripple’s potential partnership with the Bank of Japan, for instance, could further boost this possibility.

Reports say that nearly 80% of banks in Japan plan on integrating $XRP into their systems. If it pushes through, this would result in lower costs and faster transaction speeds for these participating institutions.

Of course, greater adoption of digital currencies could also pave the way for altcoins and even meme coins. If you’re looking to leverage the current momentum of cryptocurrencies for potentially huge gains, here are four worth checking out.

This Solana Layer 2-based token wants to offer faster transaction speeds, lower fees, and reliability. Since it’s based on Solana, this means that you’ll be able to enjoy unparalleled efficiency and security on the platform.

By off-loading transactions on its Layer-2 chain and bundling them together, Solaxy can speed things up considerably, and offer a much cheaper trading experience for traders.

The modular infrastructure also lets developers use Solaxy for diverse use-cases, as the components are plug-and-play and can be used for anything (like meme coins and financial systems).

$SOLAXY currently costs $0.001634 and has already raised over $20M since its presale began (and its price is predicted to shoot up). There’s another upcoming price increase…
